Let’s Hear What People Have to Say!

  • Get Set, Get Ready, Time for School: “I came expecting a lecture type presentation. Instead I found a child friendly, ready for school event! We all learned so much. Thank you.”–Rachel

  • Early Learning Program (Rural Program for Pre-schoolers): “My husband and I are now good friends with another family we met through the Best Start Early Learning Program.” – Mary Anne

  • C-K Program Guide: “I think it's fabulous that the Best Start and recreation information, especially the swim stuff are all in one publication. It makes it really easy for me to find all the info I need.”–Lindsay

  • Nobody’s Perfect (Parenting Group): “I loved everything about the workshop as I am a brand new parent.”–Andrew

  • Ontario Early Years & Children's Treatment Centre:  “Over the last three years I have been involved with the Ontario Early Years Centre (OEYC) and the Children’s Treatment Centre (CTC) of Chatham-Kent. The OEYC has been a great place for me to socialize, share stories and get advice from health care professionals, while my children are exposed to a healthy, fun, stimulating atmosphere. CTC has supported our family with hearing tests and speech assessments. We have attended speech groups and gathered lots of great ideas to incorporate into our daily lives.”–Ellen

  • Early Learning Program: “My son had a speech delay and I was worried, so when I learned about the Early Learning Program (ELP) I decided to give it a try. Ever since he started the ELP he has made dramatic improvements with his speech, playing with other kids and over all communication. I couldn’t believe it when we started to count and say our alphabet and he followed along quite well. Every day he is saying new words and pronouncing his words better.
